Founders Note
Hi, I’m Farida. Welcome to my home.
I am an Interior Designer and Entrepreneur by profession. I love reading, watching movies, listening to good music, cooking and traveling.
Interacting with people and making new friends has led to immense personal growth and is probably one of the reasons why I decided to open up my home to tourists and adventure seekers.
It was in Autumn of 2015 that Sha Ri Loum became a reality and was curated with a lot of love and passion. I have enjoyed every bit of the experience that came along with the process. We started with just the basic amenities and slowly kept adding and improving. We owe a lot of this growth to the wonderful guests who have stayed with us and helped us spread the word.
I am very proud of my hometown Shillong and our unique culture. I believe a place is not only about its landscape and architectural beauty but also about its art, culture and food habits that make it wholesome. I would love my guests to unravel the beauty of Meghalaya and go back with a bag full of memories.
